Tasminé Summer Festival

January 31st 2026 - Kingborough Community Hub

What is the Tasminé Summer Festival, you ask?

On Saturday January the 31st of 2026, we’re getting together at the Kingborough Community Hub in Kingston, Tasmania to celebrate the end of the School Holidays in Style!

With Cosplay, Vendors, Game Devs, Events and Competitions, it’s going to be a fun-filled day for all involved!

There’s a lot to announce yet and plenty still to plan for, but we hope you’ll bookmark the date and we’ll get the chance to see you there at our very first major event!

Make sure you’re following all our Socials so that you don’t miss out on any future updates.

What to Expect

If you’ve never been to a pop culture festival or an anime convention before, it can be hard to know what to expect when attending a new event! But we’re here to help you by giving you an idea of what we have in store.

  • Cosplay

While by no means a requirement- guests at the Tasminé Summer Festival are highly encouraged to get dressed up as their favourite characters from Video Games, Movies, Anime, Comics and Manga, or their favourite Podcasts or Books!
Even your own Original designs or characters are welcome, and there’s absolutely no skill-level requirement! It’s just a part of the fun.

Cosplay plays a huge part in making these sorts of events special. Seeing such an outpouring of creativity and a passion for fandom creates a space unlike any other.
Our event will also host a competition for cosplayers, so for those of you who want a chance to get on stage and win some prizes, this is your chance to give it your all and show off your skills!

So, time to visit some op-shops, and get out that sewing machine- you have until January to create your perfect cosplay for the Tasminé Summer Festival!

  • Vendors

Get your wallets ready, because the Tasminé Summer Festival aims to host a collection of vendors with all the pop-culture and fandom goods your hearts could desire! From artists to 3D modellers, as well as premium goods merchants with real Anime figurines, the Tasminé Summer Festival is the perfect place to spoil yourself rotten with some amazing merch!

If you are a Vendor with an interest in selling at the Tasminé Summer Festival, and would like to join our mailing list- we would encourage you to reach out to us at vendors@tasmine.org

  • Events

The Tasminé Summer Festival is not just a social event- no! We plan to host a series of events over the course of the day, including competitions, crowd interactive games, and entertaining performances.

  • Make sure to stay connected with us on Facebook or Instagram so that you don’t miss out on any announcements about the events being hosted at our Summer Festival.

  • Game Devs

  • We’re dedicating part of the space at our event to highlight local talent- specifically, Game Developers! Tasmania is host to a number of both talented and successful Game Devs, and we want to provide the chance for locals to meet and connect with this talent, letting them share their games and vision, while guests get the opportunity to learn a little bit about what goes into making games locally.

  • Meet-ups

What makes these days so memorable isn’t the events or even the stuff you buy- it’s the people you meet! Whether old friends or brand new, we want to create spaces for people with shared interests to meet up and connect.

  • To do this, we’re creating a space for dedicated themed meet-ups. These are places to meet up with others who are interested in the same fandoms, games, or even cosplay groups! Meet-up and engage in trinket swaps, trivia games or group photos! There’s no better place to make new friends than at a Meet-up!

This is just a taste of what to expect at the Tasminé Summer Festival! We also intend to have Food Trucks, a dedicated Sensory-safe space (with things like colouring and puzzles), and a host more activities for people to engage with throughout the day!

Make sure that you’re following us on Facebook and Instagram so that you don’t miss a single announcement about the event, and if you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at contact@tasmine.org at any time!

And don’t forget the date!
