Volunteers

The Tasminé Summer Festival is on the lookout for people excited about volunteering to get involved on the ground floor with our event- so long as you’re passionate about learning new skills or enjoy working in a team, this is for you!

We will be aiming to have a small but strong team of volunteers who are able to provide support to one another as well as our guests, and will be provided with the skills to be confident in their roles- creating an amazing opportunity to gain some work experience while bring a part of something amazing. All Volunteers will be able to request a referral for their resumes after the completion of their work.

(Application Form below)

So how does it work?

All volunteers will receive free entry to the event (those who have already purchased a ticket will be refunded), a merchandise pack valued at $23.50, and an event crew exclusive cross-body lanyard. Bottled water, earplugs, and a food allowance will also be provided to each volunteer (as needed). Volunteers who have obtained an ABN and have a Employee WWVP Card will have the opportunity to be paid an additional fee.

All training for on the day tasks will occur onsite the evening before, with refreshments included.

Successful applicants will have the following:

  • a valid Working With Vulnerable Persons Card (WWVP Card)

  • a desire to help make this an amazing event

  • ability to learn and take on new skills

  • willingness to work in a team

We are especially on the look out for applicants that have:

  • a First Aid Certificate

  • a Security License

  • previous event volunteering experience

What will you be doing?

Some tasks that volunteers may be asked to assist with include:

  • being familiar with the Tasminé Summer Festival Terms of Entry and Code of Conduct, and enforcing behaviour in accordance with it when necessary

  • checking wristbands at entry points where required

  • checking on and supporting vendors (delivering water bottles periodically, baby-sitting tables for bathroom breaks, cloaking boxes/containers/luggage etc)

  • assisting with on the day sign ups for competitions

  • ticketing and merchandise sales

  • offering assistance to Sunflower Lanyard holders

  • keeping the sensory friendly room as quiet as possible

  • providing first-aid (if qualified to do so)

  • monitoring the Tasminé Discord server for short notice tasks

Even if you've never volunteered before, the main thing we're looking for is a willingness and eagerness to take on challenges and work well in a team. As a volunteer, you should never feel unsupported, and you will be helping us to create an amazing event for all of our attendees.
